Oral surgery is considered a specialty in the dental field, and many dentists send their patients to outside specialists when they need surgery. We don't have to do that. Nearly all oral surgery work our patients require is done right in our office.
The most common type of oral surgery is extraction of wisdom teeth, however oral surgery may be required for advanced tooth decay or to repair damage caused by an accident. Dental implants and root canals are other procedures that qualify as oral surgery.
